Arts and Crafts Round Table

Based on a design from the 1920s by Sidney Barnsley, an English architect, this is a perfect example of the Arts and Crafts style. Four octagonal posts over crossed sled feet support a solid top, all in quartersawn white oak. The feet are joined with half-lap joints and the posts are connected at the top and bottom with wedged mortise-and-tenon joints. The feet are slightly tapered at the ends in two directions. The chamfered top is assembled from seven planks joined with splines along their full length.
