Children's Bookcase

This tip-proof rack is a great addition to any room. And the sturdy, solid-wood construction means it won’t take long to build.

What makes this a bookrack for children are the shelves. They’re designed to hold children’s books. And, these books come in a variety of sizes, just like adult books — except that some are too thin to stand up alone and they fall over pretty easily. So we designed shelves that tilt towards the back. This way, the shelves “cradle” the books along both the bottom and the back edge, and as a result, the books will stand up better. Of course, all the children’s bookcases I’ve ever seen hold more than just books. There are always toys — lots of toys. So the shelves have been designed to be adjustable. They can be tilted to hold books or laid flat for toys. Either way, they rest securely on L-shaped shelf supports. The classic design of the shelf will work throughout the years to come — even while your children acquire new tastes. That’s why I like the shelf, it’s both affordable and durable. The solid wood construction is the reason behind the strength of the shelves, which are also quick and easy to assemble. And, I don’t need to worry about the shelves tipping over because of the angle the curved front rests at.
