Davos Sled

This classic Davos sled is sure to bring smiles to the faces of children and adults alike.

This sled, sometimes referred to as a “sledge” (a stouter sled for moving heavy loads) is based on a vintage snow sled design originating in Davos, Switzerland. Traditionally made from ash, these sleds have been used for hundreds of years to carry cargo and elicit smiles. The most daunting task of any sled is creating the runners. But these runners are simple to build utilizing a bent lamination technique.
